I was born in Manhattan, NY and raised in Miami, FL.

Due to being born into a musical family, I spent much of childhood in

and out of studios and venues watching my parents perform for
different artists like Dianna Ross, Gilberto Gil, Paul Simon,

Dr. John, and many others. 

As a result of all the amazing music I was exposed to,

I began to take a special interest in world music styles

and have immersed myself in genres such as Brazilian,

Afro-Cuban, and Haitian as well as others more contemporary

styles like Modern Jazz and Fusion.  And from this,

my musical influences over time have varied quite greatly 

from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chaka Khan, and Tower of Power

to Boukan Ginen, Tania Maria, and Batacumbele.
